Gifts, Gifts, Gifts!

I've been drawing a lot of gifts lately. Theres nothing wrong with that. Check them out!

The first is a gift for Eric Bauza who does the voice for White Pantera on the cartoon show "El Tigre". I had a blast doing this one.

The second was a Birthday present for the very talented and sweet Katie Rice who has other amazing bday art showcased on her blog at Funny Cute Go check it ou!

The third one is for my dear friend Erin Fitzgerald, who also does voice acting but for the cartoon show "Ed, Edd n Eddy" as Nazz/May. Shes just so bubbly and bright I just had to make her bday present the same way. Love ya Erin! <3

Anywho, this October I will be creating a Halloween collection, some digital paintings others traditional paintings. I haven't started yet but I'm really excited to. I'm also thinking of submitting more of my sketchbook work on this site. I'll get around to that as soon as I can. For now, more Adora.

Its another Scoops Weekend!

...so heres a step by step.

This is how I usually do my comic pages: thumbnail, sketch, resketch with tablet, ink and color. I do them traditionally and digitally but for Scoops I do em digitally. Its just easier and less time consuming for me.

I usually sketch out a thumbnail of how I want the comic page to look, which by the way ( are really tiny ) if I scanned them you wouldn't be able to read them. Its just a guide for me to plan what goes where for the page. I do the poses after that traditionally using pencil and paper. Then pick the poses I like and re-sketch it ( or scan ) in Photoshop.

I ink in photoshop using a wacom tablet in a new layer over the sketch layer. The inking takes the longest for me but its different for everybody.

Here it is with base colors, coloring is the easiest for me. After this I add the textures and shading. Which is really fun. I use brushes and filters to make my textures. You can see it completed with text and all at dummcomics.com

I really appreciate the critique and kind words! Thanks for checking it out everybody!

Pika Pika Speed Sketch

I did this for someone who was buying pokemon stuff from me. Speed sketch 15 minutes tops with a sharpie and a micron.

Slapped on some color just for fun.

I'm a little rusty with my traditional ink work. I gotta fix that.
